Chief Underground Mine Production Geologist

- The ideal candidate must be willing to work in a remote location (camp operation) with shift rotation 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. The company provides air transportation to the job site from various points including Vancouver, British Columbia.

- Report to the Mine Manager or designate;
- Responsible for overseeing the underground mapping, core logging, grade control, sampling, data entry, as well as compiling data in a timely and useable format;
- Work with the Engineering Department and Underground Operations to develop an extraction strategy;
- Train mining and exploration team;
- Any other duties as required or assigned.
- Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering and a professional designation.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience and a demonstrated ability to solve problems in a team environment are required.
- Computer skills should include Microsoft software and 3D modeling software such as Minesight
- Superior interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, understanding the need for open and direct dialogue with staff and executives
- A strong background in underground mining would be a major asset
- Ore Resource/Reserve experience would be an asset
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills and the ability to multi-task a number of competing priorities
