SharePoint Systems Engineer
Main Duties
SharePoint Engineer's primary responsibilities include design, implementation, documentation, and troubleshooting for SharePoint Services and Portal, as well as responsibility for technical management of advance networking hardware and network services support to end user operational personnel; provide group design and product recommendations and configurations; trouble shoot and resolve client business network problems through research, network installation and customization; network administration and network management in support of SharePoint services and portals; applications development, website development and maintenance, and MS SharePoint portal administration. Responsibilities include maintaining the MNF-I and CIS SharePoint Portals on three networks. Perform administrative activities such as site creation, permission management, backup/restore and monitoring of server farms. Perform maintenance activities such as installations and upgrades; Troubleshoot SharePoint application issues. Analyze and help maintain data integrity, reliability, and security; Automation/Report monitoring within the SharePoint environment; Participate in system migration and integration projects; Perform site modifications using SharePoint Designer; Work with end users to build portals and sites; Understand and complete necessary documentation for the application/infrastructure change control process. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: SharePoint Portal development, configuration and administration. Mapping the following collaborative theories to the Microsoft platform; information architecture, records management, policy & retention, document assembly, collaboration and routing, and business process management: Work independently or in small groups on internal SharePoint rollout and deliver SharePoint services to client companies. As a Lead Engineer on projects you will be required to interface with clients and different business units to gather requirements, define project cycles, and infrastructural architecture as it relates to your domain. The engineer will be responsible for product strategies and roadmap as it relates to the business needs.
RequirementsSkills Required: 3+ years of recent experience working with Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 WSS/MOSS technologies Portals Enterprise Search Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and have this listed explicitly in resume. Business Intelligence (BI). Broad experience with the . NET Framework to include ASP. NET. Web services, XML, SOAP experience. Ability to interface with clients and gather requirements and facilitate meetings. Ability to oversee and administer SharePoint systems. Strong competency in Visual Studio Tools for Office, Windows Workflow Foundation, InfoPath, Forms Server and Excel Services. Experience with Project Server 2007.
