Sr. Design / Software Test Engineer Description
Our client, a globally renowned Audio Technology firm is looking to add a Software Test Engineer to their Quality Assurance Group. As the successful candidate you will be involved in the software testing process to enable the next generation of digital audio technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Get the chance to work with project leaders and senior engineers to establish and document product test requirements and performance goals
- Plan, design, implement, and conduct cost-effective, comprehensive regression and release test plans to ensure that product requirements are met
- Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools (primarily in Perl). Analyze test results to ensure that the product functions meet requirements
- Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help resolve issues/bugs. Design, setup, configure, and maintain software test labs and test environments Additional Remarks: Some travel may be required
- BSCS/BSEE or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant SQA experience
- Applied knowledge of SQA industry tools and best practices
- 4+ years experience in designing and implementing regression and system test plans and test cases
- Strong working knowledge in Perl, Batch, and/or Bash
- Familiarity with standard bug reporting tools
- Experience testing in Windows environments
- Testing in UNIX/Linux environments
- Experience with audio quality testing
- Applied knowledge of test automation procedures
